Happy 2014!

I think we can all agree that 2013 may have not been the best year..unlucky '13 if you will.  I know it was for me so that's why I'm so excited to move on to 2014!  It's a year of new experiences, new friends, and a new life.  So bring it on 2014.. I'm ready for ya!

And with that.. here's a nice little nail design to bring in the new year!

Base color in OPI's Fly from the Nicki Minaj Collection.  This was then glittered with a nice gradient of Save Me.
Using white Konad stamping polish and the numbers plate by Konad, I stamped on 2014 on the fingers!  It's just enough sparkle to dazzle for the new year.

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope it's a good one. :)

Checkers!

Base colors in OPI's Rumple's Wiggin' from the Shrek Collection and Black Onyx from the Tuxedo Collection
This was then stamped with black Konad stamping polish and a Mash plate.  I did this design because it was simple and I don't think I've really done a checker pattern.  Enjoy!

Suzi's Hungary Again...For the Holidays!

Base color in OPI's Suzi's Hungary Again from the Euro Centrale Collection.  Feature nail done with Radiance from the Designer SeriesThe feature nails was then glitter-fied with China Glaze's Be Merry, Be Bright from the Holiglaze Collection
Design done with black Konad stamping polish and the Bundle Monster Holiday plate collection.  I love these little ornaments!!
I've seen a lot of people do designs with colors other than the norm, and I really think it shakes it up for the holidays.  Still get the feel, but a little edgier.  :)
This week I did a friend's nails and here they are!  She just got a manicure with OPI's In My Santa Suit from the Mariah Carey Holiday Collection.  This was then stamped with white Konad stamping polish and the exclusive Hawaiian Christmas plate from Bundle Monster.  They turned out so amazing!! Hope you enjoyed them! :)

Alpine Snow Trees!

Base color in OPI's Alpine Snow from the Tuxedo Collection
This was then dotted with light green and dark green acrylic paints to create the trees.
And to top it all off, I used a little red rhinestone for the topper on the tree!  I hope you enjoy these festive nails and be safe in this storm tonight (if you're in that area)! :)

The Perfect Holiday Green

Base color in Zoya's Giovanna from the Cashmeres and Satins Collection.  This has all of the qualities of a perfect holiday green, I think!  So I went with it.  :)  I used Trixie for the stamp and the Bundle Monster Holiday stamps for the snowflakes.  On the feature nail, I have used OPI's Rainbow Connection from the Muppets Collection.
It is also a very tricky color to photograph.  I tried using my daylight lamp like I always use in my photos, but it just didn't look right.  (See the two photos below)  Didn't give the color justice.  So the two above are done with no flash, no lamp, just the lights that were in my room.
You can also barely tell that the snowflakes are there, which is disappointing.
This one was a little better, but you still can't see how beautiful the green is!  I hope you enjoyed this simple holiday design!
