Black and White Elegance

Base color in OPI's Black Onyx from the Tuxedo Collection.  Stamp done with white Konad stamping polish and a Pueen plate.  The rhinestone was from a nail art wheel that my friend bought in Spain!  I couldn't wait to use something from this wheel and I think this really brought it together.

Wibbly, Wobbly, Timey, Wimey Nails

Base color in OPI's Black Onyx from the Tuxedo Collection.  Galaxy done with Essie's Blanc, OPI's Too Hot Pink to Hold 'Em from the Texas Collection, Road House Blues from the Touring America Collection, and Red Lights Ahead...Where? from the Holland Collection.  Everything was topped off with Northern Lights.
My mom sent me a picture similar to this one and I really wanted to recreate it.  I love doing galaxy nails, and I love Dr. Who, so why not mix them.  They go together famously.  I still need to do some Dalek nails, but I have time. :D

The Girls Are Out!

Base color in Essie's The Girls Are Out.  I then topped off all but one nail with some transparent oil slick-esque micro beads...caviar.  I really love the way the light catches this manicure and how the base color really shines through!  I think these manicures are still pretty cool and give  are really great and different look! :)

Not much to this look...

Stamp and Fill Tutorial!

Base color in China Glaze's Flip Flop Fantasy and flower filled in with Sun-Kissed.  This design done with white Konad stamping polish and the Cheeky "Tropical Holiday" jumbo plate.  Now this was something that I just learned, and quite honestly, should have known before.  I use nail stickers all the time when I do intricate designs that I'm afraid to mess up on my actual nail.  I'll take you through the step now:
First:  Pick your design.
Second:  Choose a color and transfer it onto your rubber stamper.
Third:  Fill in blank spots with a color of your choice.  Here, I filled in the center of the flower with Sun-Kissed.
Fourth:  Once that is COMPLETELY dry, top this off with a clear top coat.  Let that COMPLETELY dry.
Finally:  Peel it off.  Yes, you can see that is semi-transparent, but once you stick it on your nail, it will be clear.  That's all you do!  You can do this with any design!

The Lion King Nails!

Base color in Zoya's Creamy.
I did these nails because the Lion King was my favorite Disney movie growing up and I really wanted to do something for them.  I love the Broadway poster for the Lion King and decided to recreate it.  :)  Hope you enjoy these..they're probably my favorite.

Citrus Manicure

Base colors in OPI's Need Sunglasses? from the Brights Collection and Flit A Bit from the Summer Flutter Collection.  This was then all topped off with Essie's Pure Pearlfection sponged with Set in Stones from the Luxeffects Collection
I used Fimo orange slices to finish off this citrus manicure and make it look yummy!  Hope you enjoy.

Gie Gie Dragonflies and Flowers

Base color in Zoya's Gie Gie from the Lovely Collection.  Stamp done with light blue and white Konad stamping polish along with a Cheeky plate in "Home Sweet Home."  I don't know why this caught my eye; it just did.  I think it's pretty, eh?

Neely French Tips!

Base color in Zoya's Neely from the Lovely Collection.  I topped this off with Konad black stamping polish as the french tips using the french tip plate.  I LOVE THIS PLATE.  Seriously.  It looks amazing.
I added a little glitter to make it that much better! Like it?

Guy Meets Gal-Veston!

There is no base color!  Just clear!  I used a Cheeky Jumbo plate from 2013, the "Home Sweet Home" one, in white Konad stamping polish.  For the tips, I used the french tip Konad plate!  This was the first time I ever used that plate, and now I'm addicted.  THEY WORK PERFECTLY.  Over the top, I used OPI's Guy Meets Gal-Veston from the Texas Collection

It took me a while to get this, but I have not perfected it quite yet.  The first time I tried this, I did the color directly over the stamping polish, but it completely smeared everything.  Looked like crap.  This time, I put a top coat over the stamped design THEN did color.  Boom.

Pinterest Fail

Base color in Zoya's Yana from the Stunning and Irresistible Collection.  I used blue, white, and black stripers for the design.

So I feel like this was a fail.  I tried to do this design I saw on Pinterest and it looked really cool!  Butttttttt I don't know how to feather the black like they did.  Merp.  It will have to do.

Dwelling on Dreams!

Base color in White Owl Lacquer's Dwelling on Dreams from their Harry Potter Collection.  Stamp done with one of the new Cheeky Jumbo Plates 2013 in "Happy Nails" with medium blue Konad stamping polish.

I did this manicure because I graduated from Alpha Sigma (my sorority) today and became an alumni.  The colors of my sorority are white, yellow, and blue AND the our mascot is the owl, so HOW PERFECT IS THIS COLOR!?!?  YAY!

Tropical Holiday!

Base color in Zoya's Ali then sponged with orange and yellow acrylic paints to make a sunset look.  This was then stamped with black Konad stamping polish and the "Tropical Holiday" plate from Cheeky 2013.

I was pretty excited to get these plates.. they are the Jumbo Plates for 2013 by Cheeky.  I've been wanting these plates for months and was super excited to have gotten them yesterday.. here are the ones I got!

Yes.. I realize that you can see me in these images but the darn things are so SHINY!!!  You can still see the images on the plates and that's what matters, right?

So here's the deal.  I was kind of irritated with these when I got them.. I ordered the European Romance plate because it was AWESOME and really was the only plate that I NEEDED (I just really wanted the others) and they sent me my least favorite plate of the collection instead.  Luckily, one e-mail later, I got the plate for free and got a refund.  Cheeky's customer service is fantastic!

Now the plates.  Amazing Cheeky quality like always.  These plates are fun because they are all themed differently and the images are so UNIQUEI haven't had an image come out poorly or with half of it missing.  It's clear, opaque, and wonderful.  Looking at these plates give me SO many ideas that my brain is exploding.  It's if I can get my hands on that dang European plate.
